0️⃣ What Do I Do If I Don't Need One of My Profiling Forms Anymore?
Sometimes, you might need to remove Profiling Forms from your account so that your Customers are no longer able to access them. This could happen for a variety of reasons: your company might not need that information from Leads anymore, or the Meeting Types the Form redirects to, are no longer provided.
Since the option to Archive Forms is not yet released in Lineup, you might need to use a work-around to make sure they are no longer accessible by your Leads. In this article, we'll show you two alternative paths you could take, which will have different impact on your account. If you review the Pros and Cons of each one, you'll probably be able to choose the solution that suits your needs best!
1️⃣ Marking the Form “Inactive”
An Inactive Form keeps all of the Form's configurations in your company's Lineup platform. However, you'll need to make sure the form's link is not shared anywhere to make sure you don't receive any responses, so check your company's website, socials, or any other channel, carefully.

💡 Something you should know
We do recommend you add an "Inactive” label (or something similar) to your Profiling Form's name so that all of your Users know not to share this link with Customers.

1.1 Pros of Inactive Forms
- Data retention: All of this Form's data will remain at your Profilings Page Overview, so the charts and graphs will still be accurate for the period of time that Customers were able to send in responses. This is also true for the downloadable reports and Sheet Integration if it’s available.
- Associated Meetings: Meetings booked through this Profiling Form's ending will remain linked to the Form.
1.2 Cons of Inactive Forms
- Account Clutter: Since this Profiling Form will stay on your Profilings Page, you will have unnecessary clutter in your company's account.
- You will have to manually add an “Inactive” label to the Profiling Form’s Name. It’s the only way to signal a Profiling which your are no longer sharing on any channel.
2️⃣ Deleting a Profiling Form
When you delete a Profiling Form, all of its data is removed from Lineup permanently. There is no way to get it back, so you'll have to be careful when you make this decision.
2.1 Pros for Deleting a Form
- Optimize your account: Since only the active Profiling Forms will be visible on the Profilings Page, your account will be more organized.
- Data Integrity: The general data from all of the Profiling Form entries is kept on your Google Sheets document, if you have configured Lineup's Google Sheets Integration.
- Meeting Continuity: Any Meetings that have been booked after answering a (now-deleted) Profiling Form will still exist on your Lineup account.
2.2 Cons of Deleting a Form
- Impact on Performance Metrics: This specific profiling's data will no longer be taken into consideration on the graphs and charts available at your Profilings Page Overview, which means numbers such as the total responses for all of your Profiling Forms, as well as your general Conversion rate, will no longer be accurate for the period of time the Form was active. These means loosing historical data directly on Lineup.
